It is performed in the monasteries of Nyingma order three days before the Sikkimese new year. The monks, who prepare themselves mentally several days ahead, put on colorful costumes and wooden masks. http://photo.lacina.net//photos-222-india-cham-dance.html India - Jaipur Fabric Factory (2010-01-27) Jaipur is famous for its fabric factories that produce both block and screen printed textiles. After printing, the colorful textiles are washed and then hung from a tall wooden structure for first round of drying. It borders the state of Assam to the west, Arunachal Pradesh and part of Assam to the north, Burma to the east and Manipur to the south. During the month of December, a colorful Hornbill festival takes place in Kisama heritage village, close to Kohima. It is the least populous state in India and the second-smallest in area after Goa. The thumb-shaped state borders Nepal in the west, Tibet to the north and the east and Bhutan in the southeast. Despite its small area, Sikkim is geographically diverse due to its location in the Himalayas. Hinduism is the major religion in the state, followed by Buddhism. During British rule in India, Jaipur was the capital of the princely state of Jaipur. Founded on 18 November, 1727 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber, the city today has a population of more than 4 million. Jaipur is the first planned city of India, located in the desert lands of Rajasthan. The city which once had been the capital of the royalty now is the capital city of Rajasthan. Most of them are coming from rural parts of India, hoping to get a job in bigger city. The artists belonged to the caste of kumhars and they used fresco technique (applying natural pigment on wet top layer of plaster) to remarkable effect.
